GO-TO-MARKET TIP OF THE WEEK:
I have something harsh to say. I don’t think every brand needs a paid membership.
Restoration Hardware? Of course. Who wouldn’t spend $200 for a year to unlock 30% off of something that’s $5,000. Even with 1 piece you’ve recouped.
But, I got an ad this week for membership to a company that sells plates. $40/month to be a member and that $40 becomes store credit. 1st month is free, which is great. But then the savings unlocked with your $40/month are 10%.
1. How often are we buying plates??
2. Why would anyone lock up $40/month to unlock 10% off? Especially when the brand goes on sale often?
3. If Restoration hardware is $200 a year that’s $16/month. Who decided this should cost more than 2X that? I understand it’s a pre-loaded $40 but who wants to pay more than $1/day towards their future plates purchase?
I’d name the brand but I feel mean. I just want us to all take this as a moment to not spend money and TIME launching programs that maybe don’t exactly fit our exact offerings.
MEME OF THE WEEK:

ADDED TO MY WISHLIST THIS WEEK:
π : It just screams summer, doesn’t it?
π : I was influenced. I bought it so not on wish list anymore. Happened so quickly.
π : The chokehold these have on me. Need another box.
π : 1x a quarter I add these to my cart. I’ll never do it but I’ll always want to.
π : More in my price range and would help me add to my collection. Reminds me of home. If home is lobster pasta. I know they are famous for the salad but I just linked Cocoa Puffs above so I’m being honest with you – I get the pasta.
π : Daniel picked this for himself and it passes my ingredients app. His skin looks AMAZING. Onto my wish it goes…

BRAND OF THE WEEK:
Ring Concierge: Because @acquiredstyle got engaged and her ring is – you guessed it – Ring Concierge. She made that clear across her content.
I don’t necessarily highlight this as a great thing. Only because I’m not sure it’s legal. There MUST have been a gifting element to this relationship. Ring Concierge is called out in her proposal video, and Ring Concierge made posts of their own.
I love this for the brand, obviously. What a get to have such a popular influencer chose your brand. The ring is GORG. π
Where I get worried is was there really no discount? No perks? No gifting? There’s no disclosure. I’m not the FTC and I want everyone to get their bag but I’m telling you – there was a deal here.
BE CAREFUL!!

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK:
FarmHouse Fresh: Because it’s the little things and the footer is full of heart and an animation of an animal from the brand’s sanctuary. β€οΈ
