3 years ago, I started Go-to-Millions…

Today, something new begins. ðŸĶĒ

It’s amazing how hard it is to find a field of 4 leaf clovers, even on Pinterest.

Actually, I found many options, but none were moody enough and so please find a picture of Clover Field, wherever that is.

MOODY! 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀

Speaking of moody, Go-to-Millions got a makeover. A new logo, new colors, new fonts. You can see the beginning of all that here – but if you click that link I am going to please ask you to apply to the waitlist of Go-to-Millions Membership while you’re there. ðŸĶĒ

You see, when I started Go-to-Millions I was younger, more naive, and a little insecure. That’s so moody. Shit. Ari, TONE IT BACK.

In fact, I copied the colors of my husband’s brand/media company/behemoth, The Marketing Millennials. His colors are pink and blue, and his brand was wildly successful even back in 2022. So, naturally, I copied him. I asked for my branding to be the exact same blue. The exact same pink.

I told Workweek (the company I write Go-to-Millions with) to make my logo feel like it was in the same family as his.

Never mind that I look ugly in pink and that I prefer red to blue.

Please find exhibits A and B lol.

This is why we don’t copy people!! His is clearly better LOL. FUCK.

I knew I didn’t like my logo, but I launched with it and many of you found me when that’s what we looked like. Love you for it, and I am grateful for your grace.

Then, 1 day, after hearing me COMPLAIN about my creative indirection 1 too many times, Workweek told me I was allowed to rebrand that logo.

I begged my best friend Amber Warren to redo it with me. She’s Principal Designer of Sharma Brands (and therefore my coworker), and she obliged. She did it over Christmas, after work, and on weekends.

Look at what she created, and look at the luck it’s brought me:

She hand-drew it for me. Based loosely on my very specific direction to please copy The Beverly Hills Hotel, loosely of course LOL.

Well, not-so-loosely, if I’m honest. I may have forced her to provide banana leaves and palm-style wallpaper prints to match the hotel’s wallpaper. LOL. Within a few months, I regretted forcing the banana leaves… I started to send messages like this whenever I saw them in use.

To say that Amber killed it is an understatement. She also picked the emoji that I will never change for this newsletter: 🍀.

The 4 leaf clover. It was all so perfect. It is still so perfect except for the wallpaper print that I forced – I do regret that.

Under this logo and that emoji, Go-to-Millions has grown into something I never thought I’d be lucky enough to be a part of, let alone to be at the front of.

You see, I never even thought I’d be at the front of anything. I still can’t believe that I am. Everyday, brands we love and admire write me and tell me that they read Go-to-Millions. It’s overwhelming, but in the best way possible.

There’s 1 thing I never could get over, though. The best brands in our industry write to me. Little old me. Because I have a place where you can find me. I have miraculously accumulated thousands upon thousands of friends on the internet that read this thing. They write ME – but everyone that writes me (and that I meet through Go-to-Millions) would really, really, REALLY like each other.

It’s kinda shocking the jokes we make. The places we shop. The work we do. It’s all so similar – and we’re kindred spirits in a way. I can’t get over it – and it feels wasteful.

Instead, there’s a world in which we can all come together. In a community that is private to us. I know for a fucking fact you guys would like each other. THAT YOU’LL LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.

So, I created that community. That membership. That’s what launches today (the waitlist that is). It’s by application only so that I can make sure it feels tight and taut.

So now, in this new era and in this next step, we evolve again.

I did spend all of the budget on the new logo, so we did the waitlist landing page as a test of the brand. We were going to get it all designed out, but decided our Figma mockup was kinda quirky and homegrown. Consider this just the beginning!

The brand will get stronger, the membership will grow (I hope), and Go-to-Millions will always transform as every good brand should. I hope that you’ll join me in the membership.

I’ll see you there, and I thank you for all you’ve given me, and all we’ll build together in our community garden, Go-to-Millions Membership. ðŸĶĒ
