^ I’ve discovered Pinterest. That’s not the topic of today’s email, but I did just blow 20 minutes looking up different combos of: ‘Fall in New York’ ‘Fall in Stowe, Vermont’ ‘Fall cozy’ ‘Fall pumpkin brownstone’, etc. I think the image I pinned (pictured above) may actually be AI but I can’t cope with that right now.

Anywho, I’d like to not talk about Pinterest and instead talk about Instagram. Specifically, your Instagram bio and your Instagram highlights.

They are more important than you think. For organic, obviously. But, when you’re running ads on IG – your audience clicks the handle the ad is served from ALL.THE.TIME. What copy is there to greet them? Especially, as things are about to get spooky and we’re almost at November, I IMPLORE YOU TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY NOW. It takes 30 minutes to think of a better bio. 3 days to get it approved LOL, and 30 sections to change it… πŸŽƒ

(Including PopUp Bagels’ entire bio/ highlights/pinned posts because it’s flawless in my opinion.)

Line 1 – Personality. Line 2 – PROOF. Line 3 – PROOF AGAIN. Line 4 – PROOF ONCE MORE.

Highlights – Organized (uniform cover photo, all CAPS, 1 word each). Short and sweet descriptions (1 word each). Personality (1st highlight is EPICNESS). Important information (PREORDER, LOCATIONS). None of this overwhelms…

Pinned posts – Video (showing off the product in great, delicious detail – no words or sound required to understand and basically smell what’s happening here), PROOF (that New York Times article they mentioned in the bio).
